Why now amulets become commercialise?During 50's 60's monks give free to devotees only hope for donation.....?

The only amulets I have are ones that have been given to me by monks - - totally free w/not even a hint of charge - - they were from monks that know me for a while. One of them has some antique value too, though I could not imagine selling it - - I wear it everyday along with amulets given to me by family and other monks...
