Animal noises at night??

i know theres crickets that make noises but i hear something louder and almost sounds like a knocking sort of constant knocking like a woodpecker would make on a hollow tree is what it sounds like but this is in the dead of night anybody have any idea what it might be or what website might help?? i live in the south florida area if that helps any.. im very curious .. thankx
