Followup to question about my new kitty formerly living with a colony of ferals?

In my experience, persians seem to be a little less social with humans... preferring to be left alone. I would just be patient and persistent at the same time. If he likes the treats keep offering them, Most cats don't come when you call their names (mine do, but i've never seen anyone else's do it) So, don't worry about that. He's probably still getting used to living with you, and may even be a little depressed from all the change. Just keep loving him and he will respond eventually.
