Does my computer have a virus?

Tonight I was typing and my computer was quite slow and wasnt even coming up with the right letters. I have Trend Micro Pro and updated it as well as scanned it for threats and nothing came up. I had transaction protection and keystroke encryption on so I thought it just might be a glitch but then my screen turned bue later and said it had to restart to keep the computer from being damaged. Do I have a virus? My software said no, but can it be wrong? It was supposed to be the top rated software out there. Thanks.
